- The best file recovery software for Mac OSX Lion? - posted in Mac OS: Hey guys! Today I was very stupid and while I was adding files to my external hard drive, I accidentally replaced a folder.
Hey guys!
Today I was very stupid and while I was adding files to my external hard drive, I accidentally replaced a folder with different files in it instead of merging it with the folder that already existed. I am a graphic designer and the folder that I replaced was almost 2 years of graphic design work that I've done.
I was wondering what would be the best software for data recovery for the price? It is under 20 gb of lost files. I ran VirtualLab Data Recovery and it showed me that it pulled PSD's (Photoshop) and INDD (InDesign) files so that must mean that those are it? (It wont let me view big files over 5 mb, which would be nice to make sure that it can recover the files that I needed and not jarble. VirtualLab wants $99 for 500 gb of recovery but I definitely don't need that much. The lowest package they have is $40 for 100 mb that doesn't work for me either. I don't know what to do. I'm trying not to be really sad.
Thankfully I had some designs in other places!
Thank you so much,
K

What We Like
- You can control the way your workspace looks through simply snapping windows
What We Don't Like
- Some apps, such as Spotify, are unable to be resized under a certain width
If you use your Mac on a daily basis for work, you understand the importance of multi-tasking. For each task, you might need to open multiple windows. With the free app Magnet, you can create the workspace that works for you by arranging your windows the way you want.
There are two ways to arrange windows using Magnet. You can click the Magnet icon in your toolbar and choose how your window should appear, or you can use the 'snapping' effect by bringing your window to any of the four corners of your Mac. Instantly, the window will be resized and moved accordingly.
You can break windows in half and in thirds. You can move windows to all four corners. You can also maximize and center at the touch of a button. Unfortunately, some apps are unable to be resized to a certain degree, depending on the developer.
